Ooze
A multicell gestalt endowed with the Spark of higher thought. Your body is a mass of gelatinous substrate hemmed in by a smooth, prehensile cell wall.
Hit Die: 1d8
Starting Saving Throws (or as Cleric):
Dodge: 6+DEX
AOE: 5
Poison: 9+CON
Will: 10+CHA
Fortitude: 9+STR
Mass Body: Your current HP is a measure of your literal mass: At <10, you are small. At 10-40 you are medium. At 41-80 you are large. At >80 you take up 10x10x10ft (as huge). You can shape and squeeze your body through gaps as if a small creature, but your mass cannot be compressed into a smaller volume. You can form up to [your level] pseudopods, and you cannot wear armor.
You start with no Skills or Backgrounds. Instead, start with an ability, and choose an additional one each level:
Phagotrophy: You may quickly digest anything weaker than iron and treat any organics as food. If you digest a magical item, you gain its effects as if you were the item for 2d8 hours.
Autoganglia: You may shear off up to [your level] autonomous masses from your body, each one taking with it some of your current HP (min. 4 HP) and inheriting your physical properties and abilities. They are mindless and can perform simple or repetitive tasks, but nothing requiring true intelligence or discernment. You may reabsorb them to regain their HP.
Assimilation: You may integrate ingested fluids into your structure to gain their properties. Creating a pseudopod with the fluid's properties requires a flask. Converting your entire body requires ingesting a ¼th your volume in fluid. This works on potions, but replenishing them requires their ingredients.
Ejection: You may spit objects carried inside your body with the force of [HP/4] strong humans.
My sixth entry for Glåugust 2026! I'm cheating and combining two prompts in one >:3 A short class with 4 templates to be taken in any order, and a classic monster as a class. What better monster to be fluidly built than an ooze? Go, my shaped and gelatinous children!
